Discover tourism in Morocco, Discover Marrakech
Morocco has enjoyed growing popularity for a number of years, both among policy makers and people interested in culture. Tourism in Morocco is also helping the country's inhabitants, as paved roads have been built in many isolated areas previously accessible only by a track. This opens up new possibilities for those interested to discover the country on their own.

I- Know more about Morocco:
The holiday classics are certainly the royal cities of Marrakech, Fez, Meknes and Rabat, which are a good suggestion for a round trip. With a tight schedule, they can be explored in a week. Those who invest more time can see the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, which impresses with an ancient mosaic. In addition to the two cities of Essaouira and Agadir, located on the coast, a camel ride is one of the highlights of a trip to Morocco. Errachidia is a good starting point; from there, you are guided by the caravan through the sand dunes. A little further south you will find M'Hamid and Zagora, where many camel or even quad excursions are offered. A 4 × 4 excursion with an experienced driver in the desert oasis of Foumzguit is also possible.
Those who want to help the inhabitants of the country but also the environment go from package holidays to large international chain hotels. You can book accommodation and visits either locally with local people, or contact one of the sustainable tourism providers in Morocco, who have very nice visits to the program. They work with Moroccan leaders who know their country well and can show much more to tourists.

II- Travel information on tourism in Morocco
Most of the world's tourists mostly from Europe, North America do not need a visa to enter, but they need a valid passport for another 6 months. When planning finances, note that the dirham, the Moroccan currency, can not be imported or left the country. The best way to raise funds locally. Special vaccinations are not necessary. It is necessary to prepare for the fact that hygiene standards are incomparable with those of Central Europe. It is better to eat only cooked food.
As this is a Muslim country, you can hear the muezzin's call from the towers of the many mosques several times a day. This creates a very special atmosphere, but you have to adapt to the customs of the Islamic people in terms of clothing. Short skirts and wide necklines should be absolutely taboo in some areas.

III- Internal Cities to visit:

 1- Northern Morocco
If you arrive by ferry from Tangier-Med, continue on the highway towards Tetouan. From there, it will take you about 70 km to Chefchaouen.
From Chefchaouen via Ouazzane to Fez then via Moulay Idriss to Meknes, one of the four royal cities of Morocco. Do not miss a visit to one of the most beautiful cities of the Middle Atlas during your visit to Morocco: Fez

2- Southeast Morocco
By car from Meknes or Fez in the south-east to Azrou, Midelt, Errachidia to Erfoud to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.

3- High Atlas in Morocco
Cross the 1000 Kasbahs by the canyons of Todra and Dades, the Rosental after Ouarzazate, from Aït Benhaddou to Marrakech, the city of millions of people with incredible flair.

To reach the Anti Atlas and the plains of Souss, connect Ouarzazate to Tazenakht. Continue on Tallouine to Igherm in the valley of Ammeln and Tafraoute. The final point of the trip could be Agadir. Alternatively, you can take the return trip via Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tast Pass.

IV - The most beautiful coastal cities in Morocco:

1-Essaouira
Already Jimi Hendrix fell in love with the small port city of Essaouira. It's just lying about 200 km from Marrakech and can be reached in less than 2.5 hours. The port with its big and small wooden boats with which the fishermen go out every morning and bring perch, mackerel, sardines, cuttlefish, shrimps and offer them to the roast just after taking to the port.
 2- Oualidia
Oualidia is located on a beautiful bay with a large sandbank. The lagoon of Oualidia is surrounded by a natural wall of porous rock from which the Atlantic Ocean has worked two large openings and irrigated the lagoon at low tide. Since 1957, there is an oyster farm with an annual yield of more than 200 tons.
The journey from Marrakech to Oualidia takes about 2.5 hours.

V- The beaches of the Atlantic:
The almost always hot climate of Morocco allows a bathing season almost continuous. Morocco's popular tourist beaches lie on the Atlantic Ocean between El Jadida south of Casablanca, Essaouira, Agadir, Taghazout and Sidi Ifni.
Almost all sports activities are swimming, horse riding, hiking, mountaineering, surfing and windsurfing. In particular, Agadir has become a favorite place for tourists in recent years.
